BSIFF VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Join us for the 9th Black Star International Film Festival in Accra, Ghana from September 15th – September 22nd, 2024. Embrace the opportunity to contribute as a volunteer and gain valuable working experience and connect with so many people.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be dedicated and committed.
  • Must be a film fanatic or a creative.
  • Must be a skilled personnel interested in learning more about the film industry.
  • Must be willing and available to work from mid-July till the Festival ends in September.
  • Must be prepared to be available to work late into the night.
VOLUNTEER BENEFITS
  • We recognize volunteers because they are essential to the festival.
  • Festival Attire: Volunteers will be given BSIFF T-shirts to wear during the festival period.
  • Festival Access: Volunteers have access to experience all events within the festival except in cases where venues are totally booked.
  • Certificate: Volunteers will be awarded certificates after the festival.
DEPARTMENTS
Content Writing

Assist on writing newsletters, articles for publications for the festival, the Festival brochures, official magazine and copies for social media and creatives.

Social Media and Content Creation

Assist in managing social media pages, creating content and posting social media content appropriate for posting.

Production

Help plan and execute all coverage needed such as live streaming, social media content, promotional videos and photography etc.that aligns with the festival’s goals and targeted audience. You must be a skilled photographer, videographer, cinematographer etc. to be in this team.

Welfare

Assist with managing the welfare of the Festival’s team and that of filmmakers including protocol services.

BSIFF EDU

Assist lead supervisors to organise masterclass, the Africa Film Market seminar, and workshops within the Festival. All educational content of the Festival are handled by this team. engagements/ programming.

Events

Help manage and coordinate all events within the festival. Assist in collating and dealing with all guest lists. Events determine the style and program management of all BSIFF events.
